Culture gives birth to break through technological innovation and advances as a direct function of its general and specific development. This process in turn influences the human culture, from whence it emerged, in absolutely fundamental ways. Changing the way we communicate and generally interact with each other and the whole of the wired in world public. In this manner it touches the lives of each and every one of us in a way unlike any other recent phenomena.

In impacting the human culture in such a powerful manner, technological development must be recognized as an essential, critical, factor in the unfolding of human history and society. For example take this section ripped from an article about the role of high tech in education.:

"The slide rules have turned into high-powered graphic calculators, and the stopwatches have turned into adaptable computer programs. Teachers no longer just lecture at the front of the class; they stream videos, use interactive   computer programs and receive immediate feedback from students.

"Lisa Melton, elementary learning coach for six Lawrence schools, says when   she started teaching 24 years ago, the teacher was the main source of information   for elementary students.'Right now, kids are bombarded with fast-moving, graphic-rich images,   and they have the information at their fingertips,' she says. 'Many   of them even have the Internet on their cell phones.'

"Technology has enhanced a teacher's ability to engage students in several   different methods. Melton says teachers can use video streaming to give students   a virtual tour of Egyptian ruins or an interactive lesson plan from another   teacher 1,000 miles away..."

...

"Computer skills and knowledge of other technology are almost necessary inside and outside the classroom. Students are now expected to reach a level of technological proficiency at younger ages. Students use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point   as early as third grade. Many elementary students also learn to use photo and   video editing software.

"It's taking some of the skills that you may need in the workplace,   and those are no longer expectations for high school level, but those are skills kids are using as early as elementary school..."

change the face of Lawrence schools."

Children are the central focus of family life as the children are the human future. Thus, the well being of the children is an essential concern of this web site.

Given the emotional, social and economic pressures on families today, parents and children have to work harder to build a harmonious unit. Families today face an array of challenges springing from the general systemic nature of contemporary global civilization.

Families today are threatened like no other time in recent memory. The social, political, economic and financial turmoil rending modern society has created an unprecedented global crisis of immense proportions. The news is full of tales of governments and businesses going belly up, individuals and family's losing their homes, their retirement, their means of livelihood, and exhausting their savings. There are a flood of horror stories of men and women becoming destitute for the first time in their lives. People, like you and I, suddenly finding themselves forced into homelessness.

We have to be prepared to adopt innovated techniques and methods to protect our families' bottom line. At the same time we do not want to adversely impact on our children's sense of self esteem nor damage the social and professional profiles of family members.

Tips For Preparing For Home Schooling Your Children

By Darin Sewell

If you have recently made the choice to educate your children at home you are in for a exciting journey. Not only will a home school setting be full of excitement and joy it will also be a place of frustration and difficulties. But by planning ahead you can limit the amount of set backs you have. In the next few paragraphs this article will touch on the basics of preparing for homeschooling your kids.

Proper Planning Is Critical

Before you begin to home school your child you will want to make sure you are following all your states laws and requirements. Certain states require that parents of home schooled children file a affidavit with the department of education in their state. You may also be required to maintain records of your childs grades and educational abilities . Failure to comply with any state law could wind up costing you money and frustration so always know the legal requirements before you begin in home teaching of your kids.

The next step is deciding what you want your children to extract from their home education. Are you wanting to focus on religious education, do you have a gifted student that needs more challenges? These are all things to consider when developing a teaching plan for your children. And knowing the desired educational goals ahead of time will make lesson planning much easier!

Once you know that you have met all the legal requirements and you know what you want your child to receive from their education you will need to set a curriculum to follow. Do not think for an instant that you can just wing it and make up things to teach everyday. A curriculum will help guide you and your children to an end goal of acquiring new academic skills. If you are having difficulties planning the curriculum there are services that can help you plan an age and ability appropriate home school curriculum.

Although homeschooling is very rewarding and a great way to ensure your children are educated correctly it does require proper planning. So take the time to set curriculums, check state laws and prepare yourself mentally for the task at hand!

Why Play Is Important For Children?

By Ginger Yao

Children like to play, they need to run, chase, ride, skip and jump. The more they play, the more they want to play again.

Play is important for Children because it practices their linguistic, cognitive and social skills and contributes to their general personality development. Children use their minds while playing, because they are thinking and acting as if they were another person. When they make such a transformation, they are taking a step forward abstract thinking in that they are freeing their thoughts from a focus on concrete objects. Play is also associated with creativity, especially the ability to be less literal and more flexible in one's thinking.

Vygotskian who was a famous Russian psychologist wrote, "In play a child always above his average age, above his daily behavior; in play it is as though he were a head taller than himself".

There are four types of play that reflect increasing levels of Children's social interaction and sophistication.

Solitary play is a play that take place alone, often with toys, and is independent of what other children are doing.

Parallel play involves children engaged in the same game or activity side by side but with very little interaction or common influence.

Associative play is much like parallel play but with increased levels of interaction in terms of sharing, turn-taking and general interest in what others are doing.

Cooperative play occurs when Children join and work together to achieve a common goal, such as building a large castle with each child building a part of the structure.

Play have become quite indispensable to Children's life, However, in order to motivate Children to learn from the games they are playing, Adults have responsibility to choose right playing method and age-appropriate games for the children. They are important elements to support the development of Children's play.

The place to go for age-appropriate games and game instructions is Kids Games For Playing.

Fashion Outrage

We want to let everyone know about the offensive and degrading attire that is being created for children. Girls of 5 and 6 years of age are being told to dress like whores -- literally. This first picture is a collection of the "apparel" they are pushing on these young girls by Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles. Note the pimp hat on one child, the feather boa on another and the makeup on all the little girls. They have them posed in a seductive and slutty fashion. This is a crime. Only a pedophile would want to see little girls dressed and posed in this fashion.

When you look closely at this image you can see the extent of the crime being perpetrated against young girls.

Look at the shoes this child is wearing. High heels for a 5 year old! This is criminal. What are they trying to prepare these children for? As if we didn't know.

Look at the make up on these girls. They don't even have their permanent teeth yet. This is outrageous.

Don't buy from this line. Don't buy any of the clothes they sell, even the adult clothes. Don't buy Beyonce's music or support her in any way.
