Notorious, which was made in 1946 just after World War II, deals with the continued existance of the Nazis and their plan for world domination. Most of the film is located in Brazil, one of the countries known to have harbored Nazi fugitives after the war. The main characters, played by Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, fall in love, but initially are unable to come together because of the case they are involved with.
